The Mothers’ Group of Manhasset (MGM) ended a successful year with one final children’s event: their annual Ice Cream Social. About 70 excited children gathered at the Mary Jane Davies playground one morning for a giant playdate. Upon arrival, each child was given a ticket for a free ice cream from Manhasset’s own Yianni’s, along with bubbles in the shape of an ice cream cone. The sun was shining, the swings were swinging and kids were running around without a care in the world. When Yianni’s rang his famous bell, the kids stopped in their tracks, put down their ice cream bubbles and couldn’t take their eyes off of him. The smiles on their faces were picture-perfect. 
The MGM is a members-based organization that holds a number of regular events throughout the year, including children’s, ladies’ and couples’ events. The group is on break for the summer, but will resume in the fall once school starts. All are invited to join.
