Hunter Diamond, a senior at Division Avenue High School, attended the Congress of Future Medical Leaders held in Boston, MA, this past summer. During the conference, Diamond learned from medical professionals and medical school a
cademic leaders.
Diamond would like to pursue a career in neurobiology. Alzheimer’s disease has impacted Hunter’s family and is the driving force behind his interest in the medical field. He noted that the highlight of the conference was hearing former WWE wrestler and speaker Christopher Nowinski, who spoke on the relationship between concussions and Alzheimer’s.
“The experience changed my mindset on where I wanted to go with my future,” Diamond noted about his attendance at the conference. “The speakers really sparked my interest in how Alzheimer’s has impacted my family, and I would like to do my best to help future research.”
