Here are the results from the opening week and the second week of the Farmingdale Flag Football League.

Boys Fifth Grade

The Saints and the Giants hooked up in an offensive battle, with the Saints taking the game 31-22. Jake Kuller of the Saints threw for 5 touchdowns, with three of them going to Tyler June, who took home the game MVP.

The Texans debuted with a 24-6 win over the Patriots. Patrick Farrell opened the scoring with a 50-yard catch and run from quarterback AJ Frankaitis, and went on to add two interception returns for touchdowns. Stephen Freuman also wowed with a 55-yard touchdown run.

Mixed First Grade

The season opener was a high scoring battle between the Giants and the Steelers. Sophia Scott and Sarah Marcotte were the captains for the Giants. Luke Gapinski was defensive MVP and newcomer Alex Sopack was offensive MVP for the Giants.

Girls Fifth/Sixth Grade

The Patriots were led by captains Molly O’Flynn and Rebecca Rogers, both of whom helped set the tone for the team’s first win of the season. Mallory DiPiazza earned the game ball with solid defensive and offensive play, including a touchdown run.
