In celebration of the Great Neck Park District’s 100 year anniversary, the Park District is planning to plant 100 trees. The planting will kick off in Steppingstone Park at 38 Steppingstone Lane in Kings Point on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m.
The Park District would like the community to root for and support these trees, and is offering residents an opportunity to sponsor a tree in Steppingstone Park. Trees make great gifts for honoring or memorializing friends and family—and they grow and nurture the environment. Sponsor one of the first trees planted at the Tree Planting Dedication Event and help make a difference in the conservation of the natural environment.
At the event, there will be exciting activities for the whole family. In addition to the trees, children will have the opportunity to plant bulbs and create arts and crafts. There will also be music, giveaways, apple cider and more. All residents are welcome—you don’t have to be a sponsor to attend.
Preregister at Great Neck House or call 516-482-0355 for more information on sponsorship and attending the event.
