A Subway sandwich shop in Plainview became the latest scene of a knife-point robbery last week, cops said.
According to authorities, a man entered Subway in Morton Village at 7:50 p.m. on April 4, brandished a knife and demanded money from the cash register. Cops said that when the clerk opened the register, the suspect reached over and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money before he fled the store.
The suspect is described as being 5’6” to 5’8” tall, wearing a dark knit cap with a brim, a dark-colored scarf covering his face, dark-colored jacket, jeans, gloves and tan shoes.
Police confirmed that the incident is part of a similar pattern of robberies in Nassau County since February. The pattern includes incidents at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Seaford (Feb. 16); three Carvel shops in South Farmingdale (Feb. 16), Bethpage (March 21) and Westbury (March 26); and another Subway in Carle Place (March 28).
