A special voter registration event for Great Neck Public Schools voting on May 16 for the Proposed 2017–18 Budget, the Revised 2017 Bond Referendum and for two Board of Education trustee positions will be held on Wednesday, May 10, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Lakeville School, 47-27 Jayson Ave.
This registration event is in addition to ongoing voter registration at the Office of the District Clerk, Phipps Administration Building, 345 Lakeville Rd., on school days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The deadline to be registered to vote in the Tuesday, May 16, election is Thursday, May 11. Participants must be registered by May 11 to be eligible to vote on May 16.
To be eligible to register to vote, residents must be 18 years of age or older, a citizen of the United States and have lived in the school district for at least 30 days.
Those who have voted in any school or general election since 2013 are already registered to vote on May 16.
