The public is warmly invited and encouraged to attend the free North Middle School’s Sixth-Grade Choral/Instrumental Concert on Wednesday, June 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium, 77 Polo Rd.
The Orchestra will be performing “Honor and Glory” by Soon Hee Newbold, “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” by The Beatles, “Spring” by Antonio Vivaldi and “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars.
The Concert Band will perform “Adversary” by Larry Clark, “Firework” by Katy Perry, “Crunch Time” by James Swearingen and “Defying Gravity” by Stephen Schwartz.
The Chorus will perform “We Know the Way” by Opetaia Foa’i and Lin-Manuel Miranda, arr. by Roger Emerson; “Jabberwocky” a poem by Lewis Carroll, music by David L. Brunner; “Pick-A-Little, Talk-A-Little/Goodnight Ladies” from The Music Man by Meredith Willson, arr. by Cristi Cary Miller; and “Back Home” by Andrew Grammer and Ryan Metzger, recorded by Andy Grammer, arr. by Mark Brymer.
The Band and Orchestra will be under the direction of Anthony Virgilio, sixth-grade instrumental director. The Chorus will be directed by Arielle Murdocco, choral director.
