Great Neck North High students had great success in the Westchester Classic Debate Tournament at Lakeland High School recently. The tournament, which hosts schools from all over the east coast, saw debaters Daniel Kim and Matthew Weinstein become quarter-finalists, capturing fourth- and fifth-place top speakers, respectively.

This is not the first tournament in which Great Neck North debaters have left their mark in the debate world. At the American Debate League Fall Classic, they were both the second-place advance team and first-place novice high school teams. Great Neck North also captured the team sweepstakes award. The dynamic duo of Kim and Weinstein won second place at the South Shore Debate League.
