The wildly popular salad restaurant, Chopt Creative Salad Co., opened its newest location in New Hyde Park today. Chopt is a fast-casual style restaurant combining seasonal ingredients and authentic flavors from around the world to invent delicious salads.
From scratch-made dressings and freshly-brewed iced teas and lemonades to classic and build-your-own salad options, Chopt travels to a new destination every 60 days, with an evolving menu. The New Hyde Park location will open with Destination Mexico, a feature of the greatest tastes of the region via a Mexican Street Corn Caesar, Spicy Verde Chicken Bowl and Mexican Goddess Bowl.
“We’re excited to grow our presence on Long Island with this second location,” said Colin McCabe, cofounder of Chopt. “We look forward to sharing our passion for healthy, flavorful eating with our New Hyde Park neighbors.”
Chopt also builds partnerships with regional artisans and purveyors inside each of their communities, like Mike’s Hot Honey, Coach Farms Goat Cheese and Seed + Mill Tahini, to add a unique freshness to the local menu.
The New Hyde Park location features more than 55 seats, including communal dining areas, booth seating and playful wallpaper created in partnership with Batabasta, a Spanish design duo.
Chopt has more than 50 locations along the east coast, including more than a dozen existing locations in New York. Its New Hyde Park location is at 1606 Marcus Ave., open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
