United Methodist Church Celebrates Easter

The first annual Easter event at the United Methodist Church of Port Washington proved to be a great success. A continuous flow of bubbles welcomed more than 70 neighbors and members as they gathered on the front lawn of the church.

The children started things off by hunting for the multitude of Easter eggs hidden around the property. Next came the Easter bonnet contest with prizes for children and grownups, both male and female.

The tractor, decorated with tulle and bunnies, provided lots of fun for the little ones as Pastor David drove them all around the spacious church grounds.

Cake and lemonade were enjoyed by many, but s’mores were the real hit. Marshmallows toasted on the fire pit, chocolate and graham crackers—an old, but good favorite.

The United Methodist Church of Port Washington is located at 35 Middle Neck Road. All are welcome to worship on Sundays at 10 a.m. with nursery care and Sunday school. For more information, call 516-883-1430, visit www.umcpw.org or email UMCPW@umcpw.org.
