Barbara Faticone is known throughout Port Washington as the consummate volunteer as she has committed countless hours of her personal time to some of Port Washington’s community groups. A lifelong resident of Port Washington, Faticone enjoys giving back to her community that has given her such great pleasure and where she raised her three children.
Over the last 50 years, Faticone has extended her greatest level of commitment to the Manhasset-Port Washington Chapter of CancerCare. CancerCare raises money to provide financial assistance, counseling and support groups for people with cancer, their caregivers, loved ones and the bereaved.
CancerCare is honoring her during a gala on June 7. The event will take place at The Chateau Briand in Westbury starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the gala can be reserved online at www.cancercarepw.org.
