Special Events At Sands Point Conservancy

Looking for fun things to do on Father’s Day? Look no further than Sands Point Conservancy. Start with building a bird house together.Birdhouse 2011 K

Celebrate dad at the Sands Point Preserve on Sunday, June 16 at 10 – 11 am or 11 am – noon, with Ranger Eric Powers! The one-hour program includes a 20-minute talk about native bird species and their habitats – then build your own wooden bird house, with step-by-step instructions, and bring home a beautiful new home for the birds your garden. The Audubon Society will also be on site with important information about avian species and habitat conservation. The admission price includes materials.

Admission
Conservancy Members: $35 per car
Non-Members: $45 per car
Additional kits can be purchased for $25 each.

Family Fun:  Spend a relaxing day on the beautiful grounds of the preserve, free entry for all, and in the afternoon (1 – 5 pm), enjoy live music in the Rose Garden by Acoustic Mayhem, guided nature walks, lawn games, and more. We’re celebrating the completion of our new organic herb and vegetable garden – stop by to see all that’s growing here!

Acoustic Mayhem is an acoustic electric blend of multiple genres of music, woven together into an exciting show. Based in South Florida, Michael Klein, Daniel Lombardi, Bruce Freeland, Doug Joos, and Bradley Brown will take you on a musical tour through the decades.
