The 2nd annual Empire State Ride Long Island (ESR Long Island) kicked off at Theodore Roosevelt National State Park in Oyster Bay on July 23.
The event raised money for clinical research and trials at Catholic Health and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, whose collaboration allows Long Island cancer patients to access the newest clinical trials through the Roswell Park Care Network.
“The positive energy from not only the event participants but Long Island residents is inspirational, symbolic, and emotional,” said Terry Bourgeois, ESR founder. “The energy building around ESR and ESR Long Island’s mission to end cancer is spanning from Long Island across New York State through meaningful partnerships and innovative cancer research and clinical trials being funded through our events.”
The ride featured three different routes for varying ranges of rider ability, plus vendors, entertainment, food, and drinks.
