Children’s Heart Foundation Hosts 2023 Long Island Congenital Heart Walk
The Children’s Heart Foundation hosted its 2023 Long Island Congenital Heart Walk at Sunken Meadow State Park on May 13.
The walk brought families together from all over New York with a common goal of raising funds for congenital heart defect research. This annual event includes a family-friendly walk, research remarks, activities for children, refreshments, and entertainment.
Local sponsors from all over Long Island came out to support the event, including Northwell Health Cohen Children’s Medical Center, Coin Exchange, X Golf, Shinbone Photography, Hint Water, Geyser, Stop & Shop, and Starbucks. More than $98,000 was raised for CHD research to save and improve the lives of those living with CHDs.
The Children’s Heart Foundation is the country’s leading organization solely committed to funding congenital heart defect (CHD) research. The mission of the Children’s Heart Foundation is to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs by funding the most promising research.
