Available for adoption at Lend-A-Paw

Adoption Nanook

Nanook was rescued from the euthanasia list just last month and her journey has been one of remarkable transformation. Thanks to her dedicated foster parent, she has blossomed into an incredibly affectionate and wonderful companion. At approximately 5 years old, Nanook is still on the slender side, currently weighing in at just 38 pounds. She is full of love and adoration. She loves going on jogs. Due to her playful and excitable nature we recommend a household with children 13 years and older.

Adoption Junie

Junie’s journey led her from a shelter in Pittsburgh to Lend-a-Paw. Despite the unfortunate circumstances that led to her being surrendered, she remains the sweetest and most affectionate pup. June is all about hanging out and cuddling, which makes her the perfect family companion. Her endearing eyes are simply irresistible, a true testament to her charm. She is about 2 years old and ready for her forever family!

Adoption Koda

Koda has been at the Babylon Animal Shelter for just about 2 years now. She is a shelter fan favorite with her amazing and bubbly personality! At 3 years old, she has lots of energy and needs a family that is as active as she is. She would do best in a no-kid, only-pet family.

Adoption Lola

*Super Senior Alert* Lola was surrendered in August 2022 along with her sister Juno. Both of these babies were in horrible condition. Lolas’ nails had never been cut so they had grown into her paw pads, causing her a ton of pain. She is estimated to be about 11 years old and has come a long way since being surrendered. She needs slow introductions to new people but loves to be pet once she learns to trust you. She LOVES other cats and can always be found near another resident cat or cuddled up with one! Maybe you could consider her AND her sister Juno?

Adoption MooMoo

MooMoo is a lovely 5-year-old lady that came to Lend-a-Paw after her owner passed away. She was distraught and it took her a long time to accept love from anyone new. Now she plops on the floor at your feet, demanding belly rubs! Moo Moo has been doing great in foster but is ready for her forever home.

Adoption Simon

Simon was rescued with Shiva and their brother Spike who has since been adopted. He was the shyest of the three, but quickly realized how fun toys are when he entered the cat room. This 1-year-old still takes time to warm up around people, so he needs a family who gives him time to learn his new environment and feel safe. Simon is great with other cats and loves to sleep in a warm cozy bed!

Adoption Tony

Tony is a very sweet boy, shy at first but then he’s full of love. He enjoys petting and receiving attention. This handsome one-year-old guy is also very playful. You will find him playing with most cat toys in his fosters home. Let’s help find him a great home where he will be loved and can play all day!

Adoption Delta

Delightful Delta was rescued as the cold weather was setting in with her one surviving kitten (now adopted). They were struggling living in a parking lot on Long Island, where they waited for food every night. As soon as Delta was rescued she was purring in the trap, so relieved to have regular food, shelter and warmth. Delta is a very low energy cat, not interested in toys or play but she has acclimated well to living with her foster brother. She loves to be petted and to be nearby her people. If you are looking for a companion cat or you have a calm cat who might want a sedate playmate then Delta is your girl.

Adoption Nevermore

Nevermore is a semi feral cat who was rescued from the streets. She is such a beautiful soul who shows her appreciation for being indoors and gives love to her foster. Nevermore is also good with other calm cats. This easygoing cat would make a great companion for someone who is looking for a gentle lady. Nevermore enjoys being given attention and grooming.

Available for adoption at the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter

Adoption Taco

Can Purr-fection come in a cuter package? We think not… This lovable female Persian mix is approximately eight years young (estimated birthdate: 2015) and was found emaciated at her namesake; Taco Bell. She is outgoing, affectionate, vocal and a full-time love machine.  When Taco Belle first arrived at the shelter, she presented with severe tummy issues. However, the Smithtown Animal Shelter now has her gastrointestinal issues down to science, which can be managed through a restricted diet. As a result, her hair has grown lush and thick, she has packed on weight and is ready for a family to adore her around the clock.

Taco Belle is outgoing and loving with everyone and would do well in a home with kids, other cats and even dogs. She is just learning how to properly use a litter box and does have accidents from time to time. She’s hoping to find a good home that can be patient through the learning process.

If you are interested in meeting Taco Belle, visit www. TownofSmithtownAnimalShelter.com, call 631-360-7575 or fill out an application at https://www.townofsmithtownanimalshelter.com/applications

Adoption Spudz

Eight-year-old, Spudz needed a fresh start after changes in his first home. These changes have left this plump, catnip-adoring friend feeling small and worried. Animal League America is hoping to find a cat-experienced owner who’ll provide him with the confidence and comfort he’s been missing lately. A quiet home with older children would do best for this lovable lug.

Adoption John Goodman

After losing his owner and being abandoned in his apartment building, five-year-old John Goodman needed a lot of love to make him feel safe. Let’s help him erase all his memories of the hardships he faced and give him a home with experienced cat owners and older children. You’ll find this cheeky boy waiting at the door for you, looking for a good ear rub at Biancas Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center.

Mohawk Oneonta

*Double Adoption and Super Senior Alert* Through all the ups and downs, special 10-year-old senior Oneonta has always had her lifelong friend 12-year-old Mohawk to depend on. Animal League America promised this pair of timid pair that they can spend furever together while finding their new pawrents. Cat-experienced adults committed to making them feel safe would do best for Oneonta and Mohawk.

Adoption Jack

Five-year-old Jack came back to Animal League America after a spiral of tragic events, one of them being the loss of his beloved lifelong companion, Jill. Nestled in his cozy bed, he loves gentle ear rubs and treats. Jack is looking for a cat-experienced family with older children to help reacquaint himself with life in a home and all the happiness that came from that peace.

Adoption Jezzy

Nine-year-old Jezzy returned to Animal League America due to a recent crisis. She was welcomed back with all the reassurances she needs to put her best paws forward in search of a loving and committed adopter. Jezzy deserves a peaceful home to make her feel safe and a family with older children and no other pets will help put her at ease and start her new beginning.

Adoption Esti

Are you a tortie lover looking for a tortie to love? You’re in luck because Esti is the cutest of them all! She’s the champion of feather hunting and knows how to make available laps for her staycation. Esti isn’t fond of other cats, and likes her human relationships, so cat-experienced adopters with older children who can follow her lead is exactly the home she’d thrive in.

Adoption Isabel

*Super Senior Alert* Remarkable 13-year-old Isabel’s heartbreaking situation began when she was found abandoned in her original home by concerned neighbors. She was then sadly returned by her second family when she needed medical attention. Animal League America has given her the space to breathe while their vets work out a plan to give her optimum comfort in her golden years. This stunning senior has never lived with other cats and would prefer to be the only pet in a quiet home. If you’d like to offer Isabel a soft place to land for her golden retirement, you could be the hero we’ve been hoping for!
