Three Herricks High School students have been recognized for having qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME), a monumental achievement.

Students Connie Huang, Fatin Hoque and Benjamin Ton were invited to take the selective and prestigious exam based on their success on the AMC 10 or AMC 12, the standard for American mathematics competitions.

The AIME is a 3-hour 15-question test given since 1983 to those who rank in the top 5% on the AMC 12 high school mathematics examination or top 2.5% on the AMC 10.
