Manhasset Schools proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its students in the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s Young Musicians Program. Recently, two chamber music ensembles represented Manhasset at the highly competitive CMS Long Island Regional competition hosted at Great Neck South High School.
The Double Bass Duo comprising Zachary Rho and JP Grassano, along with the string trio of Neola Low, Christian Kim and Adam Yeo, delivered moving interpretations of their musical selections, showcasing their exceptional skill and dedication to their craft. Their selection for this prestigious regional competition solidifies their position among the top musicians in the tristate area.
Rho and Grassano’s captivating performance at the CMS Regionals not only displayed their musical finesse but also revealed their profound artistic depth, earning them a well-deserved place in the esteemed final round of competition. Acceptance into the finals places them among the top 12 chamber ensembles pulled from a national pool. This achievement afforded them the opportunity to perform at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, one of the world’s most renowned stages, further highlighting their remarkable skill and potential. Their performance on May 9 on the main stage was captivating and inspiring.
These exceptional musicians exemplify the excellence embedded within the music program at Manhasset Schools, a program consistently honored with regional, state and national awards for its commitment to nurturing and showcasing exceptional musical skill.
