In a previous edition of the Glen Cove/Oyster Bay Record Pilot, the Class of 2024 from Glen Cove High School, Oyster Bay High School, Locust Valley High School and North Shore High School were recognized for their hard work. The Anton Media Group Staff would like to congratulate the recent graduates from Friends Academy as well.
On Saturday, June 8, 2024, Friends Academy celebrated its 138th Commencement, graduating 94 seniors from the Class of 2024. Friends Academy’s 25th Head of School Paul J. Stellato opened the ceremony with remarks to graduates and their family and friends, followed by addresses from opening student speaker Senuli Peiris ’24 (Levittown), Class Gift speaker Adriana Lloves ’24 (Manhasset), faculty speaker Bill Rueger and closing student speaker Danny Duke ’24 (Glen Head). Founded in 1876, Friends Academy is a Quaker independent school dedicated to educating students from nursery school to twelfth-grade. At Friends, students achieve educational excellence by committing to the highest standards of learning and living and ascribe to the belief that when we inspire students to learn and live with purpose, they can achieve greatness without sacrificing goodness.
