Storytime at the library!

Wednesday, July 17

Storytime 
11 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Join us as we gather together at the Bryant Library for stories, songs, fingerplays and more! Develop important pre-literacy skills including vocabulary, print awareness, narrative skills, and phonological awareness, all from participating in storytime. For children birth – age 5. Online registration is required. Photographs and video footage taken during programs may be used for library publicity. Please tell library staff if you do not want a photo taken of you or your child.

Thursday, July 18

Sculpt & Stretch 
10 a.m. – 11 a.m. In this class, you’ll not only gain flexibility and strength, but you will also focus on body awareness and increased range of motion using hamstring, quad stretches, lower back and upper body stretches! You will also build muscle and sculpt your body using light weights for arms chest and back! We’ll also concentrate on posture and balance. Please bring a 1/2” thick pilates mat, set of 3 and 5 lb weights (or 1 and 3 lbs, depending on your preference). This event is hosted by the Bryant Library.

STEMTASTIC: Undersea Adventures

Friday, July 19

STEMTASTIC: Undersea Adventures 

11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Join us at the Bryant Library as we travel down, down, down to the depths of the ocean. We’ll build an undersea hydrothermal vent and watch the lava flows curl upward in our ocean terrarium. For children ages 3 – 5. Online registration is required. Photographs and video footage taken during programs may be used for library publicity. Please tell library staff if you do not want a photo taken of you or your child.

Friday Flicks: THE WHALE

1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. A reclusive English teacher, living alone in the wake of a tragedy, attempts to reconnect with his teenage daughter for one last chance at redemption in filmmaker Darren Aronofsky’s transcendent, emotional epic. Nominated for three Academy Awards and featuring a career-defining performance from Brendan Fraser, THE WHALE is a deeply moving story of heartache, empathy, and grace.

Saturday July 20

Yoga 
9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. This vinyasa inspired yoga class includes centering meditations that connect the mind and body for postures that flow to the rhythm of your breath and inspiring music. Please bring a yoga mat to class. This event is hosted by the Bryant Library.

A cat-tastic craft at the library!

Cat-tastic Craft! 
11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Share your enthusiasm for cats and listen to the story, Big Cat, Little Cat by Elisha Cooper at the Bryant Library. Then, have fun creating your own cat craft. For children grades K – 5. Online registration required. Photographs and video footage taken during programs may be used for library publicity. Please tell library staff if you do not want a photo taken of you or your child.
