Jewish Beach Concert to Welcome Shabbat
All are welcome to join Congregation Beth Tikvah for a musical Shabbat experience on July 26 and again on August 23 from 6:00-6:45 PM at Jones Beach Field 6. These free services will follow traditional Jewish Shabbat rituals and are open to anyone who calls Long Island their home. Park on the west side of the comfort station and meet members of Congregation Beth Tikvah on the boardwalk. Bring your own chair. There is no parking fee after 4:00 PM. FREE Veterans Pancake Breakfast
New York State Senator Steve Rhoads aims to honor local veterans by hosting a FREE Veterans Pancake Breakfast and Resource Fair from 10:00am to 12:00pm. This event will allow veterans the opportunity to connect with one another and agencies dedicated to helping veterans. Veterans must reside in Senate District 5 or be part of a veteran’s organization in Senate District 5. Veterans are welcome to bring one guest. National Night Out at Mid Island Y JCC
Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) is once again joining forces with the Mid Island Y JCC, the Nassau County Police Department’s Second Precinct and an array of community stakeholders to celebrate National Night Out at the Mid Island Y JCC from 6 to 8 p.m. Family-friendly activities from National Night Out include giveaways from local businesses and community groups, refreshments, raffle prizes donated by local businesses, demonstrations, ice cream, popcorn and cotton candy, a bouncy castle, and much more.
