Deputy County Executive Reports to Chamber

On March 25, at the Garden City Hotel, members and guests of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce heard Patrick Foye, deputy county executive, discuss the efforts of the new regime to reform the county’s property tax assessment system.

Mr. Foye spoke of the assessment reform team in place to identify, organize and prioritize what needs to be done. Mr. Foye, who was standing in for ailing County Executive Edward Mangano, originally scheduled to give his first address in Garden City, also focused on planned spending cuts and touched on various issues and projects, including the proposed lighthouse, that impact Garden City and all of Nassau County. Foy, whose talk was well received, promised that Mangano will re-schedule his talk for the chamber down the line.
