Help Japan with Love

Charity Concert hosted by the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, LI Branch with special Guest Xiao-Feng Wu, an extraordinary talented pianist, to perform the music of Chopin. As a NY-based pianist, Xiaofeng has been claimed as “simply prodigious, to be on the roster of the first-class performers of his immense country – China” by ABC.es, a European music review magazine. As one of only five pianists and the only Chinese selected by Apple, Inc. to be part of its Chopin Project, Xiao-feng has recorded Chopin solo works for exclusive distribution via iTunes. His solo concerts have been highly acclaimed by music critics in numerous publications and media outlets around the world. Xiaofeng has chosen to play some of Chopin’s works in this performance because they echo the strong feelings of those who have suffered in the great earthquake in Japan in March and those who have responded with love and compassion. All lovers of Chopin music are welcome to come and listen in person to a top pianist playing Chopin’s works and understand the true spirit of Tzu Chi – “Compassion and Relief.” The concert will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Tzu Chi LI Branch, 60 East Williston Ave., East Williston. Seating is very limited. Call in advance for seating 873-6888.
