The Sagamore Rowing Club will be hosting the Long Island Frostbite Regatta on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Centre Island Beach. Over 800 student athletes from 18 area high schools will compete, and the event will draw over 2,000 spectators.

Guests will park at Centre Island Beach (permit parking only), and Stehli Beach will be used as a secondary lot. Shuttle service will be available from Stehli Beach to Centre Island Beach.

Teams, coaches, and trailers will be arriving at Centre Island Beach starting 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5. The first event begins at 11:30 a.m., and the races will continue until 4:30 p.m.

This semiannual event is one of the most competitive high school rowing events in the Northeast, and is one of the largest high school sporting events on Long Island. The student athletes will compete in 36 events during the day based on their ability (freshmen, junior varsity, varsity), rowing shell type (scull and sweep), and boat size (single, doubles, quads/fours, and eights).
