LI Baroque Ensemble in Concert

Birding at Target Rock NWR

Join Huntington- Oyster Bay Audubon Society and search for birds that spend their winter at Target Rock NWR. Free Nature Program

Bird Migration on Long Island at 7 p.m. at Cold Spring Harbor Library, 95 Harbor Rd. (Route 25A), Cold Spring Harbor. Long Island is an exceptional place to study bird migration, owing to its diversity of habitats and geographic position. This talk will survey some of the many places on Long Island where migrating birds can be seen, with special attention devoted to shorebirds during spring, pelagic birds from land during summer, and the visible migration of hawks and many other species during fall. Bird migration occurs throughout the year on Long Island, and birders can deepen their appreciation of birds and their insights into avian ecology by looking for seasonal movements at unexpected times and in unexpected places. Will be having its 56th Annual Lincoln Day Dinner at the Crest Hollow Country Club, Woodbury. Cocktails will be served at 6 p.m. and dinner will follow. Piano Recital

Charlie Albright is the winner of the prestigious 2010 Gilmore Young Artist Award and the 2009 Young Concert Artists International Auditions. Born in Centralia, WA, Mr. Albright studied at the Harvard College/New England Conservatory of Music joint program, where he completed his bachelor’s degree as a premed and economics major in 2011. He is now pursuing a master of music degree in piano performance at the New England Conservatory of Music. U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Needs Oyster Bay Recruits

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla in the Oyster Bay area is recruiting new members. They are needed to assist the Coast Guard in performing Homeland Security missions and to implement the Coast Guard’s many recreational boating safety programs. No experience or boat is required. Muttontown Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

The Fellowship provides an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie, with talks presented by intelligent enlightening and non-dogmatic speakers who come from the entire spectrum of the Arts, History and Sciences. This is followed by coffee and an informal discussion circle, held in the turn-of-the-18th century farmhouse in a bucolic setting.
