At 57 years of age, Eddie Reagan of Levittown is having the kind of year that lots of 25-year-old superstuds would envy, and he continued his impressive string of performances at the June 3 Bayville 5K, scoring first overall in 18:55 over a fast, flat course that was more than a bit longer than advertised. Shari Klarfeld of Plainview notched still another win in the women’s division in 19:49.
The top local finishers were 19-year-old Mark Mavros of Oyster Bay (second overall, 19:44), 14-year-old Patrick Halpin of Bayville (fourth overall 20:04), and 15-year-old Maggie Reid of Locust Valley (fourth woman overall, 22:57).
