Over the Hill Gang Report: August 22, 2013

Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology (ZP) beat Paradox Cafe 20-10 Friday night. ZP pounded 25 hits and pitcher Brian Tinney kept a tough lineup in check to avenge a lopsided loss to Paradox just a few weeks ago.

ZP took the lead in the 2nd inning with one its most impressive innings of the year. The big blow was Tyrone Clark’s grand slam that capped a 10-run outburst.

For the night, there was solid hitting up and down the lineup. Richie D’Amico, rookie Marty Dunn and Tinney led the way with three hits each.

Jerry Mazza, John Hernandez, Sean O’Flynn, Bino Reverberi, rookie Steve Lenci, Tyrone Clark and John DeFalco all had two hits a piece.

Defensively, Reverberi had a fantastic game in right center, picking off numerous laser shots that would have been homers. Hernandez at third, O’Flynn at short and D’Amico at second base all made big contributions to help ZP earn a much needed win.
