Ffoure Pounds Sterling, an exhibit at the Oyster Bay Historical Society’s Koenig Center is open now through Jan. 19. View the 1653 First Purchase agreement with the Matinecocks, preserved in the Office of the Town Clerk in Oyster Bay, as well as the 1661 agreement granting Henry Townsend permission to build his mill at Mill Pond. Kirk Larsen Art Exhibit
Artist Kirk Larsen will display his artwork in the Locust Valley Library’s Community Room now through Jan. 26. The room is open from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Raffle For MSA

Muttontown Preserve Walk
There will be a guided nature walk at the Muttontown Preserve on Jan. 12. Meet at the Bill Patterson Nature Center, at the end of Muttontown Lane, East Norwich, at 10 a.m., reservations required: call 516-571-8500. There is a fee of $5: the tour covers rough terrain in several areas of the preserve, Nassau County’s largest nature preserve.

Annual Talent Show
The Oyster Bay High School presents its annual Student & Staff Talent Show: International Night Exavaganza begins with international food and raffles in the cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. followed by the concert in the PAC at 8 p.m. Fee.

Spymasters Lecture
Raynham Hall Museum presents the second of its lecture series “Spymasters: The uses of Intelligence in a Dangerous World.” The series was inspired by the museum’s identity as the home of a central member of George Washington’s Culper Spy Ring, a forerunner of today’s C.I.A. The speaker on Jan. 19, is Brian Kilmeade the author of George Washington’s Secret Six of which one is Robert Townsend, Culper, Jr. The event will be held at the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 each, or $75 for members and includes a buffet supper. The third lecture in the series will be by Evan Thomas speaking on March 9. A “Local son” Thomas has authored eight books. His most recent is Ike’s Bluff: President Eisenhower’s Secret Battle to Save the World (2012). Space is limited, so please call 516-922-6808 to reserve.

OBHS Winter Reception
The Oyster Bay Historical Society hosts the opening of their new exhibit at a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 31. Snow Day In Oyster Bay will display items from their collection related to winter. That includes bobsleds, skates and costumes on loan from Monica Randall. The exhibit runs through March 23. For information please call 516-922-5032.
Food Pantry
The North Shore Assembly of God, 84 Orchard St, Oyster Bay is operating a new food pantry for the community. It is meant to supplement the growing needs of the community. It is open on Tuesdays during their prayer times: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. If you are in need of their service, please call Pastor Diane at 922-2547 and make an appointment to complete their screening process.
