Snow Day In Oyster Bay
The Oyster Bay Historical Society has a new exhibit at the Koenig Center, 20 Summit Street, Snow Day In Oyster Bay. It includes the sign from The Oyster Bay Ski Center managed in the mid-fifties by Oscar Summers, from their collection, as well as costumes on loan from Monica Randall. AARP Smart Driving Course
On March 10 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Bayville Free Library, the AARP Smart Driving Course is offered. It is geared towards the mature driver. NYS insurance discount and point reductions apply. Registration is open now. The cost is $20 for AARP members or $25 for non-AARP members. AARP membership card and payment by check or money order are due at time of registration. No cash or credit cards can be accepted. Bring your driver’s license and a pen to class. Lunch will be a half hour break. Priority registration will be given to Bayville Free Library patrons. All program registrations will be open to non-Bayville residents one week before program date. The Long Island Baroque Ensemble will perform on March 16 at Christ Church at 3 p.m. It has been delighting audiences with its diverse programming featuring a repertoire of rarely heard and un-published works along with period favorites. The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District holds its third budget development workshop on Tuesday, March 18, at 8 p.m. Attending the school board meetings are a great way of enhancing your child’s school experience as you become more aware of the district goals and how they are achieving them. The North Shore Assembly of God, 84 Orchard St, Oyster Bay is operating a new food pantry for the community. It is meant to supplement the growing needs of the community.
