The New Face Of War

sane“A SANE Voice,” Great Neck SANE/Peace Action’s weekly program during March, will present “The New Face of War” with Jeremy Scahill, international correspondent for the Nation Magazine.

He is the author of Dirty Wars: the World is a Battlefield and the producer of the Academy Award nominated documentary film Dirty Wars. The introduction of drones and new lethal weapons has indeed changed the face of war.

The film and its revelations have made Scahill a popular guest on the The Rachel Maddow Show, Real Time with Bill Mahar, CBS Evening News, ABC and Democracy Now. Scahill  has twice been the recipient of the prestigious George Polk Award for his  foreign reporting in 1998 and for his best seller Blackwater in 2008.

“A SANE Voice” is shown on Great Neck/North Shore Public Access TV every Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m. on Cablevision’s Channel 20 and Verizon’s Channel 37.
