Danielle Vas, only child of Catherine and Ernest Gyger of Munsey Park, was born in 1967 in Tampa FL. From her youngest days, she has traveled through Europe, North and South America. Her baby years were spent in Belgium and Spain where she got into kindergarten.
At 5 years of age, she arrived in Flushing and learned English in six weeks at the local public school. Her school years were spent in Manhasset at Munsey Park Elementary School. She graduated High School from the American-Brazilian School in Rio de Janeiro. She received a BA from Hofstra University, majoring in English, French and German. Her post-graduate work followed at the Hotel Management School in Glion/Montreui Switzerland. Speaking English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese (and Swiss German) got her great employment within the hotel industry in Europe and the USA.
These past years, Danielle had an Executive Administrative Assistant position with a Consulting company in office planning and installation. With the exception of the years spent in Europe at the Hotel Management Studies, Danielle spent all her life living close to her parents, whom she adored and loved.
Her second love was animals, especially dogs, small and large, PUGS being the preferred ones. Having seen and lived in many very interesting parts of the world, Danielle was working together with her parents, on her plans to soon get a new position in Arizona, a state that she has visited several times already.
Danielle’s “facebook” register is among the most exotic ones around, with addresses and contacts on all continents and in many languages. Danielle’s vacation preferences were for exotic places, luxurious hotels, arid great service wherever she goes. Danielle’s sudden and untimely passing will be felt by all her friends and her family here and abroad.
Visitation will be held at the Fairchild Funeral Chapel, 1570 Northern Blvd. on March 28 from 4-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. March 28.
