Snow Day In Oyster Bay
The Oyster Bay Historical Society has a new exhibit at the Koenig Center, 20 Summit St., Snow Day In Oyster Bay. It includes the sign from The Oyster Bay Ski Center managed in the mid-fifties by Oscar Summers, from their collection as well as costumes on loan from Monica Randall. North Shore Reads
Time to get your copy of The Manor by Mac Griswold from local libraries to take part in North Shore Reads. On April 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. enjoy a book discussion and desserts at The Metropolitan in Glen Cove. The book is available in a variety of formats.

Professor Ed Hom is back to share tips for working with digital content on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. Awesome Apps covered great applications (Apps), but this session will cover working with YouTube, Zinio, Nassau Digital Doorway, Freegal, and other content on your device. East Norwich resident Steven Rodriguez, a country rock singer, will be performing live at Canterbury Ales Oyster Bar & Grill, 46 Audrey Ave., at 9 p.m. He offers “contagious melodies and insightful lyrics” with an acoustic edge.
Alice: Perception Vs. Reality

Poster Workshop for Kids
Kids will learn about beach nesting birds and then create posters with the help of an artist to help protect the birds’ nesting grounds. Ivy Pull at Shu Swamp
Join the Shu Crew of the Huntington-Oyster Bay Audubon Society on March 30 at 10 a.m. to help restore Shu Swamp by controlling English ivy and garlic mustard, invasive plant species. Budget Workshop IV
The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District holds its fourth budget development workshop on Tuesday, April 1, at 8 p.m. The board meetings are a way to better understand and participate in the budget development process. Hugh Howard on President’s Houses
The Friends of Sagamore Hill presents Hugh Howard on April 3, at 7 p.m. in Christ Church Parish Hall, 61 East Main St. His book is Houses of the Presidents: Childhood Homes, Family Dwellings, Private Escapes, and Grand Estates. He will feature the Roosevelt Home at Sagamore Hill in the wider context of American domestic architecture. Admission and refreshments are free to all. The Oyster Bay Historical Society hosts and exhibit by members of the Long Island Craft Guild in the Koenig Center, 20 Summit Street, from April 5 through June 6. It’s Time for Tea
The Oyster Bay Historical Society opens its spring exhibition, It’s Time for Tea!, with an afternoon reception on Sunday, April 6, from 3 to 6 p.m. The exhibition will remain on view at the Koenig Center, 20 Summit St., through June 8. The exhibit features ceramics by members of the Long Island Craft Guild’s Clay Media Group. Both functional and sculptural work relating to tea — pots and bowls, cups, mugs, and sugar/creamer sets — will be on view and for sale at the Historical Society’s Koenig Center for the course of the exhibition. Budget Adoption
The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District holds its fifth meeting on the 2014-2015 budget as they finalize and vote to adopt the amount needed to run the district in the next school year, on Tuesday, April 8, at 8 p.m. Attending the school board meetings are a great way of enhancing your child’s school experience as you become more aware of the district goals and how they are achieving them.
