On Wednesday, March 26 Most Reverend William F. Murphy, Bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre conferred the sacrament of Confirmation to 190 students of both St. Mary’s Elementary School and the parish Faith Formation Program.
The two Masses, concelebrated by Rev. Msgr. John J. McCann, pastor of the Church of St. Mary, made a beautiful celebration for the eighth graders as it concluded their young adult sacramental preparation, which was initiated in the second grade when they received the sacraments of reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
