Locust Valley Lady Falcons
win 11-4 overall in conference
The Locust Valley Varsity Girls Lacrosse team finished the regular season as Conference III Champions. The Lady Falcons were 9-0 in league play and 11-4 overall.
The team worked hard all season and their dedication paid off. The Lady Falcons exhibited that they know how to play and act as a family, both on and off the field.
The team was led by six exceptional seniors: Joan Heney, Carly Kinta, Soraya Sanjana, Emily Schlicht, Preston Tansill and Julia Vezza.
Junior Cassandra Vnook made some incredible saves in important games to help lead the team to victory. Junior Lindsay Bleistein and sophomore Kameron Palagonia were the leading scorers for season.
Locust Valley Central School District Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics Mark Dantuono said the team deserves praise for their hard work.
“We are so proud of first year Head Coach Carolyn Sumcizk and Assistant Coach Alison Incarnato for an incredibly successful season and for their dedication to their team,” Dantuono said.
