On Saturday, May 17, hundreds of supporters visited Floral Park for the Hance Family Foundation’s 5th Annual 5k Race/Walk and Family Fun Day in memory of Emma, Alyson and Katie Hance. The clouds cleared just in time for more than 2,000 walkers and runners, a record number of participants for this annual event, to participate in the 5K, mile and pee-wee runs, which kicked off at Centennial Gardens in Floral Park.
Dozens of corporate sponsors and individual families supported this year’s event, which included services, raffle items, and monetary donations.
After the run and walk events, Family Fun Day visitors enjoyed bouncy houses, Katie’s Dress Up Corner, the Beautiful Me tent, the pony rides and petting zoo, and more.
Save the date: The Inaugural Beautiful Me Gala will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City.
