Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) of Long Island will host its 8th Annual Walk Like MADD 5K, a non-competitive fundraising walk at Farmingdale State College, 2350 Broadhollow Rd., on Saturday, May 31. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the ceremony beginning at 10 a.m.
The walk will raise funds and rally support for MADD’s mission to eliminate drunk driving.
During the ceremony, the Garden of Awareness Memorial will honor victims of drunk driving. Information on MADD services and support and programs will be discussed.
“Working together we can accomplish our goal; and with the support
of the community at Walk Like MADD, each step brings us closer to eliminating drunk driving,” said Tara Spohrer, walk manager at MADD Long Island.
