A 39-year-old Brooklyn man died while riding a kite board in the waters off Amagansett on Sunday afternoon.

Nicholas Valtz was found floating in Napeague Harbor off Lazy Point at about 2 p.m. after his family reported that he had not returned to their Bridgehampton home, East Hampton Town Police said.

The victim was taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine his cause of death.

East Hampton Town Police ask anyone with information on the case to call them at 631-537-7575.
