The Westbury/Carle Place Chamber of Commerce’s first tasting event proved to be a huge success, garnering the support of 400 attendees who came out to enjoy a night of feasting provided by 25 local eating establishments. A portion of sales from the event went toward donations to both the Westbury and Carle Place senior centers, and to establish a scholarship for one senior from each of the high schools.
“The restaurants’ generosity was awe-inspiring and the food was delicious. Westbury Manor went above and beyond and the set up was perfect,” said Chamber president Frank Frisone. “We received tons of positive responses from both the restaurants and the community. They all can’t wait for next year’s event.”
