The Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD) is holding its 34th Annual R. Brinkley Smithers Golf Invitational, a charity tournament, on Monday, Sept. 22, at The Creek and Piping Rock Clubs in Locust Valley.
This year, LICADD will have Kristin Thorne, Emmy Award Winning WABC-TV news reporter and personality joining them as Emcee and Auctioneer. The live auction boasts playing opportunities at some of the country’s top golf courses, along with dozens of silent auction and raffle prizes to please the most discriminating of tastes.
This event offers several participation and sponsorship opportunities. Sponsors enjoy prominent recognition on and off the course with multi-media presentations, sponsor level signage, a pin flag/tee sign package and great exposure on our high-traffic website. Foursomes and individual tickets are already on sale and sell out quickly – well before the event so early reservations are encouraged. Those who do not golf can join the group for a delicious dinner at The Creek Club. Tickets are available for the “Diamonds In The Rough Dinner” for $200 each.
This event is more than a high-energy, fast paced, challenging round on two of Long Island’s premier courses; all proceeds from this event will fund LICADD’s workshops, programs and treatment services here on Long Island at this most crucial time.
