Check out Dorothea Benton Franks new book, The Hurricane Sisters. Recently on the New York Times Best Seller list, this book is the story of three generations of women buried in secrets and takes place in the Low country of South Carolina.

Bestselling author Adriana Trigiani says “Dorothea Benton Frank is a great storyteller, a ray of sunshine, and a fabulous party guest. If she were a cocktail, she’d be fizzy.” This fall you will have the opportunity to meet Dorothea Franks. The Friends of the Manhasset Public Library will be hosting an evening with the author at Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club on Wednesday, Oct 15.

Franks was born and raised on Sullivans Island, South Carolina and has written 14 books centered around Charleston and the surrounding areas. She combines humor, wit and drama and introduces readers to resilient characters in her tales.

If you’d like to know more about her before meeting her in October, you can visit her online at www.dotfrank.com or on Facebook.

Note from the editor: This book is hot! The book is on backorder at the library with over 76 patrons on the “reserve” list, and over 55+ waiting for the e-reader.
