The United Methodist Church Thrift Shop will reopen, beginning today. Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday, September 4
The Floral Park Chamber of Commerce will hold its next luncheon meeting at Jack Duggans with, owner and host Kathleen Duggan on Thursday, Sept. 4 from noon to 2 p.m. Come join to hear the mayor’s message and current goings on from Police Commissioner Steve McCallister. Maximum 50 attendees, so please reserve ahead. Cost is $18 per person.
The Floral Park West End Civic Association will meet on Sept. 4 at 8 p.m. at the Atlantic Avenue Firehouse.

The Covert Avenue Chamber of Commerce Street Fair will be held on Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Tulip and Cisney avenues.
The Junior Women’s Club of Bellerose will hold its Village-wide Garage Sale on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bellerose LIRR. Selling spaces are available for $35. Email Kate Derry at dorrkiam@msn.com for information. Rain date is Sept. 7.

The Floral Park Memorial High School PTSA will have their first meeting of the school year on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the school library, 210 Locust St. There will be a membership table for anyone who wishes to join the PTSA. All are welcome.
The Town of North Hempstead will hold its regular board meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at town hall in Manhasset.
The Bellerose Village Women’s Club will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. at the village hall, 50 Superior Rd.
Primary elections will be held from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Wednesday, September 10
The FISH of Floral Park will hold its regular board meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church (use the Violet Ave. entrance). All drivers and telephoners are invited to attend. The meeting is open to the public.
The Floral Park Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. in the village courtroom.
Liz’s Day organizational meeting at 7 p.m. on Sept. 10 at the recreation center.
The Irish Cultural Society will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Garden City Library, 60 Seventh St. The meeting is free and open to the public. Sunday, September 14
The Queens County Farm will host their 34th Annual Antique Motorcycle Show on Sunday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come see a display of motorcycles of various makes and models that have been out of production for more than 10 years. Trophies will be awarded for various categories. Music, historic tours, hayrides, and food will provide fun for the entire family. Free for members, $5 admission for all ages.
