Small Business Seminar

Legislators  Siela A. Bynoe, Kevan Abraham and Carrie Solages will be hosting small business empowerment seminars to help empower and engage new and small local business owners. While all are invited to the seminars, minority, women and first generation American entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend with enthusiasm.

The seminars take place Oct. 22, 29 and Nov. 5 from 6 to 8:30 p.m at 1550 Franklin Ave. (Room 136) in Mineola. 

Seminar One is for beginners and will cover Small Business 101: The Basics. It will include starting a business, creating a business plan, financing and licensing.

Seminar Two will cover Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Certification Overview and Small Business Banking. It will include what you need to know to qualify for Nassau County, New York State, and federal contracts, as well as managing small business banking needs.

Seminar Three will cover Advanced Strategies For Business Growth. To attend this seminar your business must be operating for at least two years. Revenues must be at least $150,000 per year, with four or more employees on payroll. This session will go until 8 p.m.

Participants may sign up for one or more of the seminars based on experience level. Pre-Registration is required so please sign-up as soon as possible.
