The League of Women Voters of Central Nassau is sponsoring a talk by Town of Hempstead Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Hempstead Library, Nichols Court and Washington Avenue. The public is invited to attend.
Hillcrest Civic Association will meet on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center.

Queens County Farm will host a Halloween Haunted House on Oct. 24, 25, and 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. Admission is $4 per person, recommended for ages six and older.
Floral Park Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Company is hosting Psychic Medium Christopher Allan on Friday, Oct. 24 at the Floral Park Village Hall. Dubbed the ‘Next Generation of Spirit Communication’, Allan is ushering in a new era of spiritual awareness with his ability to talk to the spirits of the dead and tune into the lives of the living and assist them during times of crisis. The Big Apple College Fair, in sponsorship with the College Access Consortium of New York (CACNY) will be held at the Jacob Javitts Center, Hall 1A in New York City on Oct. 25 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Queens County Farm will hold their annual Children’s Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wear your costume to the celebration. Bouncy houses, cartoon costumed characters, pie-eating contests, hayrides, and more. Admission is $4 per person.
Floral Park Memorial High School Athletic Booster Club fundraiser Comedy Night on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Brokerage Comedy Club. Doors open at 6 p.m. There is a two drink minimum and pub menu is available. Seating is first come – first served. Please join to support the boys’ and girls’ athletic programs.
