The Nassau County Police Department has released a composite sketch of the man wanted in connection with an attempted rape that occurred in Westbury last week.

On Wednesday, Oct. 22 at approximately 1:40 a.m. a 22-year-old female was walking home from the LIRR station North on Post Ave. in Westbury. When she reached Post Ave. and Maple Ave., she was attacked from behind by the subject, causing her to fall to the ground. The subject attempted to pull down her pants and sexually assault her but was scared away by a bystander. The subject fled the scene on foot Eastbound on Maple Ave. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The subject is described as a male Hispanic, in his late 40s-mid 50s, 6’1″ tall, wearing a dark hooded sweat jacket, jeans and tan boots.
