In keeping with tradition, the students of Farmingdale High School celebrated 2014 Homecoming with a week full of “Daler” pride, all leading up to the annual varsity football game against the Generals of MacArthur High.
Brimming with a flood of green and white, on Oct. 24, students, alumni, parents, faculty and staff packed the high school gymnasium to show off their school spirit. This year’s pep rally featured performances by the Dalerettes kickline and kick pom dance teams, who got the crowd all amped up for the big game at Don Snyder Stadium.
At halftime, down by eight, members of the Farmingdale High School Marching Band brought the hometown crowd back to life with a rousing performance featuring members of the Dalerettes kickline.
After the performance, students George Kontarakis and Ana Maria Murillo were crowned Homecoming King and Queen for the 2014-2015 school year.
The Dalers would go on to defeat the Generals 15-14, off a field goal from kicker Zach Kolodny late in the fourth quarter.
