Asselta Of Port Chosen ‘Super Lawyer’

Lawyer_103114AJoseph P. Asselta of Port Washington has been chosen a “New York Super Lawyer” by his peers.

Asselta is co-head of Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana, LLP’s construction law department.

He represents clients in all segments of the construction industry including owners, developers, financial institutions, design professionals, general contractors, construction managers, government contractors, trade contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, equipment rental companies, and insurers and sureties (on both public and private projects).

A significant portion of his practice includes the review, drafting and negotiation of construction contracts and related project documents.

A member of the American Bar Association’s Construction Law Forum and Fidelity and Surety Law Committee, as well as the New York State Bar Association’s Construction and Surety Law division.

Asselta is active in construction and surety industry associations. He was the chair of the Bar Association of Nassau County, Construction Law Committee from 2001-2003.

He is a member of, and has served as co-president of, the Board of Directors of Landmark on Main Street, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Port Washington Youth Activities and has been a member of the New Salem Civic Association’s Historic District Committee.
