Despite the drizzle, residents gathered in true Floral Park fashion on Dec. 5 for the annual tree lighting at Memorial Park. Hosted by the Junior Women’s Club, locals gathered to hear the Our Lady of Victory School Mrs. Claus made a special visit to hear the Christmas wishes of all the boys and girls and give out candy canes, donated by the Floral Park Chamber of Commerce.
OLV provided the hot chocolate after the ceremony. And Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, along with the Lions Club brought the donuts.
