Cops say a woman caught driving the wrong way on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway early this morning had a blood-alcohol level well above the legal limit.
According to authorities, several drivers spotted Jillian Dethuin, 31, of St. James, driving northbound in the left lane of southbound Route 135 near exit 4 at 1:05 a.m. in Bethpage. Responding police officers found Dethuin on the right shoulder near exit 7E. An investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol and she was placed under arrest without incident. No accidents or injuries were reported.
Dethuin is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated and violations for driving the wrong way on a one way street and reckless driving.
