The Sewanhaka Central High School District Senior Robotics Club placed fifth in the recent FIRST Tech Challenge Regional Championship Tournament, hosted by New York University School of Engineering. Sewanhaka had a 4-1 record after the initial round robin phase and was ranked in fifth place overall.
The club, which competed against 39 teams, was part of a three-team alliance, which included Stuyvesant High School and a private team from New York City. The team’s performance secured them a spot to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge Super Regional Competition in Scranton, PA on March 19-21.
