Nassau County police have released a photo of a suspected gunman wanted for a Hempstead home invasion that investigators hope the public can help identify.
Authorities said the man in the photo forced his way into a victim’s apartment at 100 Terrace Avenue, flashed a handgun and demanded cash at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 17.
The assailant allegedly stole $90 cash from the victim’s wallet before fleeing the scene.
The suspect is described as a 6-foot, 2-inch tall black man with dread locks in his mid-20s weighing 200 pounds.
Third Squad detectives ask anyone with information that can help identify the suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 1800-244-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous.
