As you have probably heard by now, the new Floral Park Village pool was unveiled and opened for the season on Saturday, June 13. Hundreds flocked to the grand opening ceremony and then stepped through the gates to enjoy the awesome weather and cooling waters. Opening day guests were treated to music provided by DJ Chris LoGrippo, giveaways, a magic show and complimentary hot dog lunch provided by D&J Snack Bar.
The village also hosted an open house preview of the facility on Thursday, June 11. No swimming was permitted at the preview, but guest got to check out the new features, including the new slides, kiddie area, splash pad, zero-depth entry, the gazebo and the beautiful new landscaping throughout the facility.
The pool will stay open late every Monday and Wednesday from Monday, June 29, through Aug. 19 for teen nights. Senior citizen days are planned for Fridays, June 26, July 10 and Aug. 7. Many more new pool programs to follow. Please check www.fpvillage.org for updates.
